Hard drive

my hard drive just stopped working and i had to replace it. i didn't have my stuff backed up and i couldn't retrieve info from it, id love it if someone could help me out with some maps

i think my cat jumped on my computer and damaged it. im on a laptop. in any case, i wasnt able to save any of the 100 gigs of stuff i had on it

How the hell does a cat hitting the computer screw out the drive? Did somebody throw the cat? O_O

Did you make sure that none of the cables came loose? I advise getting a multimeter and checking all the connections.. yes.. ALL.

the cat jumped off the upper bunk and onto the computer, and the fact that after i replaced the hard drove the computer works fine makes me pretty sure that was the problem.
