Sorry Blarget for a late reply, as Jake mentioned that can be a problem with binding, you may have got the same bound keys and there's a conflict. Check your autoexec.cfg and config.cfg if there are bound these keys: KP4, KP6, KP8, KP5.

Snake sauerbraten edition
To load script copy snake.cfg to main sauerbraten folder, then write in autoexec.cfg: exec snake.cfg
usage - type in console: /snake to start the game
Controls: Num4 - left, Num6 - right, Num8 - up, Num5 - down
