Title: standardisation and recommendations for the HQ
Post by: Daniel on March 11, 2009, 05:01:52 PM
we should build a recommendation for the HQ to define standart heights. also we could define main textures or texture cats to ease the texture choice without constraints. for example define standart rock texture to use, standart grass, standart earth, sand, rosty metal, etc... to give the HQ more consistency but give a wide choice of alternatives to permit diversity.

I suggest we use the cube size 3 a standart measurement unit.

it seems it is also possible to set player movement speed in BF. Player height is fixed (to avoid cheating), but it's about 1.875 cubes.

So we could consider 1 cube being 1 meter that seems reasonnable

Yea... the main guy IS an alien android after all  :o

Also, maybe later we can find someone to actually make a proper model.
And also, maybe at some point BF will support multiple player models, so we can have a personalized model, one for each.
