The goal here is to get a nice playable map from us on the new Sauerbraten, so go on ahead and post ideas/themes/lay-outs/old-maps/ anything you think that can help us reach this goal.

Resources / I need some help with a few things

hey guys i need some help with a few things,

1. so I'm working on making all of Ooo from adventure time and i want to make the map playable so i had a idea to split up the map into multiple maps and to have teleporters go to each map so when you walk into one teleporter it loads the new map for you, so my question was can a teleporter do this?

2. so my next problem is with a model i made, i can get the model onto cube 2 but i cant seem to get the texture on the model/ i made it with Blender and i exported it as a md3 file and i compiled it with Npherno's md3 Compiler an I'm sure the cfg file is right so if anyone can take a look and see whats wrong or link me to a good tutorial that would be awesome/ and yes i did read the cube model reference

well i haven't posted anything in a while so here is one of the many projects I'm working on, I'm also working with a friend of my on this map.
We are planing on making all of Ooo but we are taking one step at a time so we start with marceline house first since my friend like her house the most,
we are using custom textures so its taking us a while to finish her house, right now we have the body of the house done but some of the textures we plan to fix-

So i started to work on Flying base 2 yesterday, so far i only have the layout done and some lighting. i think its way more playable then the first one but i still think its lacking a good flow so any feedback would be highly a appreciate, i also started looking into a new texture theme to use instead of the gray on gray look.

Wow, its a awesome map, great for fighting in with zero lag, Allot of nice details, i did see a few things that i would fix like:

- the light pole on the side of the wall had no light bulb
- the pipes going into the build didn't look right
- some parts of the map feels empty

all in all i think its a great map so I'm going to Vote: YES

yeah i totally understand not having a light source, but with the dark ports i would add a dark lights over the pillars like this:

i liked the imperial night map the most, so I'm going to base my vote off of that one,

First off i liked the idea of the map allot even the lighting but did notice some problems like:

- some ports of the map still had the default texture, you could notice it with out cheating
- some of the geometric was messed up, I'm guessing you copied it with smaller cubes
- ports of the map are dark,
- the balls on the realign are both pointing the same way so it makes it look a little off,
- there's a gap between the path and the bridges 
- light was coming from nowhere, if thats just your style then thats fine but i would add some type of floor lights or lamp posts

all of those things are easy to fix, i think this map would be fun to fight on so just fix those things and my vote will be a "Yes"

hmm 5 pm gmt might be little hard for me to do, if anything you can tell me the scale of the castle an i can start working the buildings or smaller ports, we can also post the map file here an just keep updating it each time we change something in the map. i also i think we should create a reference folder, so we can work from the same Images and other things it might help us communicate better on things/ just a idea
