I actually got something done earlier on jim-dandy, it could have been useful, nice hell-ish environment with a crap load of nice mountains/lake-beds etc.... and then the server disconnected me before i saved it.

I was like...   :rockin: i want my 45minutes back!



Idk about a space-theme, to me it doesn't really sound or look hell-ish. I would be thinking more, pools of lava, chasms, caves, volcanoes, rusty bridges, satanic/gothic elements maybe?

So has anyone started something or got any ideas? I'd love to work on something.

Which kind of clan map do you guys think would be most suitable? For example, some clans build a huge map around a central structure, some clans will build a hallway of rooms where each member is assigned a room to add their personal touch.

I personally think the first option would be more ideal as everyone would be working on the same thing, and it gives people more incentive to work together.

Yes. I think most of it looks okay, the centerpiece (just before the middle staircase) has alot of funny looking directional shadows. Could probably fix it by lowering lightprecision a little or adding another light entity in that location.

I noticed ladder cubes don't work anymore, cm|cooper was on a public coop server the other day and he showed me a different method that works... i honestly can't seem to remember how he did it though. But there definitely is a way.

Could be that you are running a newer SVN built than the server is.
Find out what version jolly roger is using and checkout the same one.

Done alot more on it today, it seems to have turned into some kind of jail or prison complex (it resembles that in some way).
Ignore the map name "poison chamber", it's just temporary for now.

Here is the map so far if anyone wanna play around with it and suggest anything (can help me work on it if you are online).

The map needs alot more work, but i'm stuck for a name to use. At the moment it's saved as "pt1", however that means nothing at all lol.

It's kind of like a futuristic/gothic/industrial/castle/factory all merged into one.
Any ideas?

Just remembered the svn version has snow particles in the default textures, did anyone else know about this addition?
Not a massive feature but i'd love to work on a snow map of some kind, and this just urges me more.

yeh man i always found this problem in RE.
confusing that they all are mostly "open" servers but you can't get master!

if you set one up you only really need to force the server to load as auth on startup, and use a masterpassword the same as jim dandy.

What you guys think of it?
So far it's a similar kind of layout to the release maps "keystone" and "warp", the reason for that, is so it can be used for multi-mode mutator (4 bases, symetrical layout etc).

Only made the lower section of the map so far.  :P

If anyone is on red eclipse later and wants to help or come up with ideas, feel free to ask.

tbh when i'm online i've been playing red eclipse alot more, mostly just fragging and editing offline really.
sauer feels too old lately (lame excuse), but when i do load it up, i'm usually on an svn server on my own lol. seems like nobody else ever uses public svn servers.

i'm constantly creating throw-away maps lately to try and come up with an idea.
other than that, i come online (sauer) usually no-one else is online  :P
